Welcome to Dubai

Dubai is a relatively new holiday destination which has taken the travel world by storm over the last 10 years.

The modern design and construction provide stunning architecture and a diverse range of class leading hotels.  Enjoying a day by the pool is virtually guaranteed when you have an average of 10 hours of sunshine per day.

Taking a dip in the sea on one of Dubai’s pristine beaches is very pleasant too with sea temperatures of between 23 and 30C. It makes a great winter sun destination as summer temperatures in Dubai can regularly hit 40C!

As you’d expect from a new city looking to attract tourists from around the world, there is no shortage of accommodation options which can be bewildering.  More bewildering is the number of districts in Dubai.  Each one offers a different holiday experience so it’s important to choose the right one to fit in with what you want from your holiday.

If you’re looking for just a beautiful beach and pool holiday for example, then it’s worth looking around the fringes of Dubai for hotels that can offer this type of holiday without paying the premiums demanded on the ‘The Palm’. Pebbles & Sands is pleased to be able to offer a huge range of Dubai package holidays and we’d be thrilled to use our knowledge to help compile a shortlist.

If you love adding tours and excursions to your holiday to spice things up during your stay then Dubai will not disappoint.  We’re confident that there really is something for every desire and taste.

Most visitors will make a beeline for the desert safari and Bedouin feasts under the stars. But how about a dinner in the sky experience where you can enjoy a gourmet dinner on a table suspended 50 metres above the Dubai Marina? Or perhaps swimming with dolphins is more your thing?

On top of the all the tour and hotel choices, Dubai also has a wealth of attractions to visit and enjoy.   A first-time family visit to Dubai is not complete without a visit to the Aquaventure park situated on The Palm.

Arguably one of the best water parks in the world, it is connected to the Atlantis hotels. Staying in these hotels will give you early access before the public entrance opens.  This is a real bonus as the park can get busy particularly in the afternoon. Shoppers will love the variety of malls on offer. Each one has a slightly different appeal. The Emirates Mall for example has an indoor ski slope. Skiing in Dubai? Yes they really have left no stone unturned!
