How I Got Here
My travel-job journey moved up a gear in 2006.
I moved to Nice, France to expand a tiny boutique travel firm I’d co-founded a year earlier. Over the next decade, Nice Pebbles, a holiday accommodation provider of property in Nice and the French Riviera, established itself as the go-to accommodation provider welcoming tens of thousands of guests, being recommended in all the travel guide books and winning awards.
How? Because we cared about our guests.
I got huge satisfaction from listening to clients, taking down their wish-list for their perfect holiday, and working with them to find their perfect holiday property.
Some twenty years on and mainly due to Brexit and children, I now live in the UK again and have passed the baton of Nice Pebbles to some of our long-standing
employees in France. Setting up Pebbles & Sands was a natural progression.
Many of our guests who’d grown up with Nice Pebbles over the last twenty years have now retired and frequent holidays to places further afield beckon. When more than a few expressed how they’d love a sprinkling of Nice Pebbles for their other holidays, then I couldn’t resist setting up this new company and I look forward to helping more clients by sharing my travel expertise and love of exploration.
I believe travels and experiences shape our lives. They help us re-connect with our friends and family, they teach us about other cultures, open up our minds to other possibilities on food, adventures and possibilities that we then apply to our lives.

Personalised Service: I listen. This is fundamental. Only if I take the time to get to know you can I tailor your next adventure. I want to understand your travel style, preferences, and budget.
Price Matching: If you have already found a great deal online that looks perfect then great. We’re off to the best start. I’ll try and beat the deal on offer, and if I can’t, I can usually match it, and you’ll pack knowing you couldn’t get better elsewhere.
Expert Guidance: I know travel. I’ve a vast network and can access more travel resources than you can. I’ll offer you insights and recommendations that you can’t find on your own, even if you had the time.
Book with Confidence: Everything I offer you is sourced through the Hays Travel network which is the largest independent travel agent in the UK.
Support: Travel can sometimes come with unexpected challenges. I’ll hold your hand beyond the booking process. I’m here to provide support and assistance from our initial chat right through to your return home.
Areas of Expertise
The world is a big place. I don’t know everything about every destination BUT, armed with the Hays Travel resources and my network, when I don’t know, I’ll find out for you.
The one place I can say with confidence that I DO know is Nice and the surrounding areas of the French Riviera. That’s what comes from living there for close to a decade and listening to guests for twenty years who experienced it too. As a family man with two teenage boys, we escape murky Manchester often. Our main holiday is often between October – April because we want to escape the UK weather. Few simple pleasures beat that descent down the airplane steps with the sun on your face for the first time in months. We love the United Arab Emirates, USA and Canary Islands.
